Security Provider Your server is ideally located in a Host Europe Data Centre. We know you have the highest demands on security, speed and system availability, and we fulfil them using the latest technologies from only the best suppliers.
The customer systems are housed in an ideal environment, professionally and safely in 19-inch server racks. The antistatic and fireproof double-floor in the data centre can carry loads of several tonnes.
The autonomous supply of power to the data centres is via a transformer station integrated into the building. The redundant feed into Data Centre 1 guarantees the greatest possible system stability. Each server rack in Data Centre 1 has two separate 16 Ampere power supplies.
All the energy used in the Data Centres comes through an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Should there be a break in the electricity supply, the UPS battery ensures an uninterrupted switch to the diesel-powered emergency generator. The UPS also completely filters out any irregularities or disturbances to the energy supply.
A high-performance emergency power system (diesel powered) provides electricity for the entire Data Centre in question and the cooling systems with constant energy in the event of a power out. It has enough fuel for at least 48 hours at full capacity and the tank can be filled while the generator is running.
The constant room temperature of between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius is guaranteed by large and redundant cooling units. The n+1 architecture of these units ensures system stability and makes it possible to service the unit without the climate control of the Data Centre in question having to be compromised. Air vents in the double floor control the climate of the individual server racks.
A comprehensive water and fire early-warning system (VESDA) reacts at the tiniest crossing of predefined limits, preventing damage. In addition, the automatic fire-detection system is also linked directly to the local fire station. The building exterior is protected against lightning strikes by a surge diverter.
Should smoke be detected or even a fire break out against all expectations, the large-scale fire-fighting system pumps Data Centre 1 completely full with the quenching gas Argon within just 60 seconds. In Data Centre 2 the fire suppression gas mix Inergen would be used in such an event. This procedure causes no damage whatsoever to the equipment in the Data Centre.
Electronic access-control systems and security personnel ensure that only authorised persons enter the Data Centres. Video cameras, motion detectors and intruder alarms linked to the local police also monitor the exterior of the building and all interior zones.

Encryption Encryption is the process of transforming information so that it is illegible for any undesired recipient. Encryption is the foundation of data integrity and data protection, which are essential for e-commerce.
Customers and business partners will only be willing to transmit confidential data and make transactions on your website if they have complete confidence that their data is safe. The solution for companies serious about e-commerce is to implement an infrastructure for trust, based on encryption technology.
An SSL certificate is an electronic file that conclusively identifies people and websites and makes encrypted communication possible. SSL certificates serve as a kind of identification card or proof of authorisation. In general, the "signatory" of an SSL certificate is a certificate authority (CA) such as VeriSign.

Monitoring Every activity in the system is stored in a log that can only be viewed by a super-user.
