SIS offers cost savings because little to no IT expenditure is required (the customer requires no server, there is no software installation or updating, backups are generated automatically on a daily basis and archived at various locations) and the initial costs are very low (no purchase, no installation costs, no update costs).

The data are encrypted during transmission and stored on the SIS server in encrypted form. Firewalls and access rights protect against misuse and backup and the system stability concepts of the SIS servers and a varied range of access lines ensure availability and security. But security also means protection against theft. Fort Knox may be better protected than our SIS servers, but ours are much more secure than most local servers currently in commercial use. If databases are stolen, it generally happens in a company´s own offices, not outside them.
